yeah!!! go karna......Let me make you know what gokarna is~~
Gokarna means Cows' Ear. It is believed that Lord Shiva emerged from the ear of a cow here. It is also located at the ear-shaped confluence of two rivers Gangavali and Agnashini.
It is also famous for the beach in "Om"-shaped..
The story starts like this........
On one fine day..i was sleeping in my cozy room till 10:30 am....and heard a few voices in my dream..."mohan..wake up...i need ur help" and slowly noticed later that it was ashwik's....,a good friend of mine..but was still in the dream..When i opened my eyes , i found out my friend ashwik banging the door so hard and shouting to wake me up...saying.."mohan ..wake up ...i need ur help"..
I woke up..opened the door ...but still wanted to sleep more...then ashwik says.."i need ur help"..i said what kind of help...and he said that i need to go to for a trip wid him and i said..."when??"...he replied with a smile and said...."Now.."..i just made my eyes wide open to see whether am still in dream or am in the outside world...
I was not knowing abt this plan of the trip...and me surprisingly and enthusiastically asked him "wer?? ...and he replied..."GoKarna"..."and on bikes"...I said "Wat??"....He said "yeah.."
I was interested in going to gokarna and said "ya..i can come...but not now"..But i didnt have enough resources...(u know wat they r)..
He simply gave no other chances....he has convinced me to go wid him..and said he is going to lend me the money for the trip...
I was still deciding whether to go or not to go...But i finally made up my mind to go..
We all started a trip at 4:00 p.m. from our hostels on 4 bikes..and slowly picked up a speed of 80kmph on the national highway 17...one bike after another...and yooooo~~~~~~~!!!!!
We reached "Kundapura" following the same highway and had some coke...(coconut water)..then resumed our journey and reached "Turtle bay"....(so called... famous for turtles)....Reaching the bay, we heard a bad news...i.e...one of our friend's mobile fell down on the route..unfortunately a costly one...
But we all ve still continued our trip after a few photo sessions at the bay..

We had plans to go to "Murudeshwar" ....(famous for Lord shiva temple and the beach beside it), but since it was already late thea at the bay...we had planned to go to "gokarna" directly..and yeah...we went on 90-100kmph speed thea onwards..We have taken wough rest on the way to keep our asses happy...yah..am not joking..asses pain sitting on the bike for so long a journey..
We finally reached the place "goKarna" a small town but a beautiful one..All of us are completely tired on bikes and faces covered with the polluted dust..are desperately in search of a hotel for having a good rest in the nite..
Now we ve gone through a few hotels..and reached one finally which seems to be pretty decent...and found accomodation over thea...
As soon as we ve entered it....he started explaining his "rules and regulations"..
Rule1: "No shoes allowed inside rooms"...and that all others follow the rules though they r foreigners..
Rule2: "Talk very slowly, do not make noise"..and he always keeps on saying "aapka umar he aisa hein....."
But we thought of adjusting to his rules..as we all were tired enough...We had our dinner and finally loaded our tummies...our friends call it "batting"....and then we went back to room after visiting a nearby beach had gone for "bowling"...(meaning sleep)...
The next day, i was again in deep sleep as i usually am....and heard a few voices of my friend saying" mohan ...wake up dude...its 8:00.."I woke up and saw that its still dark outside...and said.."come on..let me sleep more"...but i had to break my sleep and go for making myself ready for the temple.
We had our trip to that ancient temple and then to the "om beach"...had a splendid view..and all the foreigners having their sun-bathe ;)..Seen a few people who are looking like MITians...found a guy coming towards me and then found him really an MITian...
We had our photo shoot and then went to swim and play in the wavy sea waters... The water is quite salty and have enough density to lift our bodies in the water..Had a nice time inside the waters for 3 hours..and leasurely moved out to rooms back for refreshing ourselves..
The return journey starts as soon as we finished our lunch at "Kumta" a nearby city...and the 80kmph speed is back...The traffic was a bit less and we could go upto 110kmph.
On our way back, we ve landed in "Murudeshwar" and had some pass time with some photo session..
then to "turtle bay" back again..for having the sunset view over the sea....
Mannnn...that view was awesome....
Finally...finally...finally..we ve reached back to manipal...with our paining asses...and tired completelyy......aaaaaaww...!!!
Immediately we r on beds....
Again..i slept on my cozy bed till 10:30 a.m. ...and this time..no guy outside..no guy to wake me up....and i happily resumed my work....
The trip was simply an awesome one and a memorable one.....
